Day 23 Ocean Breath
Find Your Breath
•
10m
The Ocean Breath is the same as the perfect breath with added purpose and power. You are adding resistance to the exhale.
I call this the Ocean Breath because the exhale sounds like waves crashing.
The technique is the perfect breath (5 sec inhale/5 sec exhale), but on the exhale you're pushing the air out of your nose. Before you let the exhale leave naturally, this one you're picking the path through the nose, constricting the back of your throat, and pushing the air out. In the video, you'll be able to hear my exhale through my nose.
This breath takes time to cultivate because the resistance doesn't immediately feel natural. It's the yogic breath because the resistance on the exhale really focuses you on the present.
I like the ocean breath because it provides power, focus, and consistency so I can stay on my own wave (my center/peace/present).
Find your breath.
