Day 11 Mouth Taping
Find Your Breath
•
11m
Incorporating mouth tape into your breath training will provide big physiological benefits.
A simple little square across your mouth will help train your body to nasal breathe more. When I incorporated mouth taping, I was a little anxious, but it's boosted my heart rate variability and lowered my respiratory rate. By lowering my respiratory rate by a single breath a minute (when I sleep), I'm taking 8000 fewer breaths a month which significantly reduces oxidative stress.
Mouth taping will boost recovery, increase healthy sleep, cutout snoring, and train your body to efficiently nasal breathe.
Remember, the nose is for breathing, the mouth is for eating!
When you try out the tape, do it while you're sitting at your desk or watching tv. When you get comfortable with it, this sticky magic square can be utilized in your workouts. Learning to nasal breathe during cardio workouts will supercharge your aerobic fitness.
Grab your tape. Find your breath.
